what is cold cast resin?

i want to buy a statue made from cold cast resin. will this material be similar to stone or more of a plastic? i don’t want cheap crap.

Resin can be mixed with a variety of powders: bronze, marble, etc and can take on the appearance of real bronze or marble sculpture. You pretty much get what you pay for. For $5 you will get “cheap crap” for 2 – 3 hundred you approach a piece of real art.
